Origin & Production

The flowering parts of Calendula Officinalis plants organically grown by Vessel in the Chalkidiki region of Northern Greece are macerated in locally produced Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil at the Vessel Distillery in the village of Thermi.

Benefits 

Skin Health - calendula has long been used to improve skin health. It is used to protect the skin from premature aging and thinning of the skin. Calendula is also good for acne and skin irritations. 

Healing Wounds - calendula oil might accelerate wound healing. Research suggests that using aloe vera or calendula ointment along with standard care sped up episiotomy recovery time.

Soothing Eczema - some people use calendula oil to treat eczema. One study found it can help relieve pain from dermatitis.

Antifungal, Anti-Inflammatory, and Antibacterial Properties - Calendula oil has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that might make it useful in healing wounds, soothing eczema, and relieving diaper rash. It’s also used as an antiseptic.

Usage the oil is best used sparingly and applied at regular intervals 2 or 3 times per day. For skin care the oil can be used on wet skin after bathing or showering to help seal in moisture.
